In the city above the Arctic Circle, every summer the fog season would arrive. The peak of this phenomenon was called «the foggiest night of the year».
The residents of the city would hide in their homes and lower the shutters on their windows, for on this night shadows would emerge in the fog and eerie voices would repeat over and over: «We are your friends!» Those who failed to hide would disappear forever.
For decades, a secret organization has been studying this phenomenon. And now the investigation is entrusted to the special unit «Sprouts», which consists of the youngest employees: Grig, Avra, and Leo. Will they solve this mystery or will they vanish into the abyss forever?
