The Veles Book: with a Dictionary and Commentary

"The Veles Book" – a unique monument of ancient Slavic writing from the 9th century AD, a collection of the oldest laws, domestic rules, worldviews, and history of our ancestors. The text, carved on wooden tablets, encompasses a two-thousand-year history of the migrations of the Slavo-Arians, reflecting their religious and philosophical worldview and interactions with other peoples. This edition presents the original interpretation of ancient texts, carried out by Valentin and Yuliya Gnatyuk, which are presented side by side for the first time, "line by line" with a modern translation. The authors restored the rhythm of the original, allowing for an experience of the impact of ancient rhythmic prose, created a Dictionary of the "Veles Book," and provided the texts with detailed explanations and comments.
