Strange Affairs in Upper Doly

Major Andrei Nikitich Sokolovsky dreamed of the perfect vacation: silence, his native village of Upper Doly, and much-anticipated fishing. But instead of tranquility, fate throws him a "surprise" from the past that literally knocks him off his feet.

Maryika Sinitsina, his first love, whom a foreign lie had separated from him eighteen years ago, now lives next door and is rumored to be a local witch. However, even her "magic" is powerless against what is happening in her house: dishes are flying through the air, swarms of maggots fill the kitchen, and ghosts are reflected in the mirrors.

Nikitich, used to dealing with real criminals and not evil spirits, takes on the investigation. He will have to find out who is turning Maryika's life into hell. But the most difficult test is not catching the villain, but melting the heart of the one he has never been able to forget.
