The book is written in the traditional Vedic style: with dedication to the spiritual teacher, addressing previous teachers and Higher Powers (mangalacharana), as well as an introduction to the subject. It contains numerous quotes and appendices illustrating and substantiating the material presented by the author from both traditional and modern scientific perspectives. For example, it is shown that meat consumption is not only unjustified physiologically contrary to the prevailing opinion but is also extremely unfavorable from a spiritual and ethical point of view. The names of great vegetarians such as Pythagoras, da Vinci, Newton, Rousseau, Tolstoy, and Einstein are mentioned.
