The calendar is hung on a nail. Sven Nordqvist is a Swedish writer and artist, born in 1946 in Helsingborg. Sven studied architecture at university and honed his illustration skills through distance courses. After his studies, he earned a living by creating artwork for advertisements and educational materials, designing posters and greeting cards. In 1984, the first book about Pettson and Findus was released - "Birthday Pie." At that time, the aspiring Swedish writer had no idea what fame these characters would bring him.
