"Writers" — is an urban fantasy about self-discovery, the power of dreams, and the secrets of a neon city. A story where reality collides with imagination.
Hellock — a student at an academy and the heir of a large company. It...
seems like life is going well, but he dies of boredom every day and dreams of not studying his father's business, but of drawing.
Everything changes when Hellock accidentally finds a strange box in the basement of his house. That same night, a mysterious stranger informs Hellock that he is in danger and must find the writers to avoid death.
But how to find those you've just heard of for the first time? And what if the answer is hidden somewhere between reality and nightmare?..
From the author
Hello! This is Joe, the author of the comic you hold in your hands. The first volume has finally been released!
I am very fond of "Writers". This was my first major comic that I started making in color and digitally back in 2017. Since then, we have gone through fire and water together.
After gaining enough experience and learning from many pitfalls, I decided to revive the first volume and redraw half of the comic specifically for publication at MIF.
I hope you enjoy this comic and it finds a cozy spot on your shelf.
Thank you to my loyal readers for their support and feedback; it is very inspiring and motivates me to keep going!
To Mom and Dad — for always believing in me (an artist in the family is a tragedy). Yuki — for the immense support and cosplay. To the editor — for patience. And to the MIF team — for the opportunity to publish this comic in print format.
The first volume is just the beginning…
