Caution: Madness! About punitive psychiatry and ordinary people

In the early 1960s, Michel Foucault posed the question: who are the mad, and how has the attitude towards them changed throughout history? The result of these reflections was a fundamental work on the history of psychiatry and the author’s slight suspicion that the science of the insane has always been at the service of the state. If that is the case, can it be called a science? Throughout human history, those deemed mad were not necessarily the sick but rather those inconvenient to the state. The more reflections there are, the greater the likelihood that the mere presence of thoughts will be used as an argument during a psychiatric appointment.
The proposed edition is a fundamental work by a sociologist dedicated to the study of the concepts of norm and pathology. The book became an impetus for the creation of the so-called "anti-psychiatry," a movement against the system of punitive measures in combating any form of dissent.
