Wonder Frog

Fairy tales can be different — folk and magical, funny and sad. There are stories you will never believe. But sometimes you read a fairy tale and imagine yourself as the main character. There are also fairy tales that seem... to come to you and demand to be written down. This happened to me after a trip to the Vecgulbenes manor. I remembered a garden with a cozy pond, the beautiful host's house, the winding paths of the ancient park, and, of course, the melodious croaking of frogs in the pond. Perhaps it was exactly the Vecgulbenes frogs that inspired me to tell this story? I just needed to listen closely and write it down. I hope that you, too, will embark on a journey upon reading the tale of the Singing Frog, to see this magical place with your own eyes. The fairy tale was retold in Latvian by Madara Gruntmane.
