In the Wake of Death. Why the Kursk Perished

On August 10, 2000, the newest nuclear submarine K-141 "Kursk" went to sea for its final exercises: "Destruction of the enemy's aircraft carrier-multi-purpose group by the fleet's striking forces." During the execution of this task, 118 submariners, the entire crew,... added themselves to the mournful list of victims of accidents and disasters of the domestic Navy. The sinking of the "Kursk" is still shrouded in an aura of mystery in the collective consciousness.
