About love, about creativity, about the sufferings of the soul, about the transience of power? A young
Khan Woman, competing with the elder, decides to build a minaret. A young architect takes on the job. Upon seeing the otherworldly beauty and tenderness of the Young Khan Woman,
he helplessly falls in love with her. The erected minaret – a manifestation of elevated
and tender love – torments the Ruler. An order is given – terrible, inhumane. The great architect is blinded, so he will never be able to create anything similar; his tongue is cut off so he can never tell anyone how
such an extraordinary structure is built.
