The Diary of Anne Frank

Anne Frank (1929–1945) was a Jewish girl born in Germany, who, after Hitler came to power, hid with her family from Nazi terror in the Netherlands. In her diary, she tells her imaginary friend about everything that happens to her and to the other inhabitants of the hiding place. The Diary of Anne Frank was first published in 1947, has been republished multiple times, translated into dozens of languages, and became a lasting memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.
