The goal is to find the perpetrator before time runs out! About the Game
"Crime Scene: The Beautiful Era" is a logic tabletop game, and the second part of the new "Millennium" series, which tells the story of the ancient Lavelle family from Paris. Members of this dynasty have always been known for their special detective skills and the plot of these games connects the adventures of these heroes from different eras into a single epic story."The Beautiful Era" continues the line of famous cooperative detective games "Crime Scene" but not as an expansion, rather as a standalone game. The action of the game takes place in Paris in the year 1900. You take on the role of a journalist named Victor Lavelle, who has a penchant for investigating crimes.Players are provided with four art-nouveau style scenarios that tell unique investigation stories. The game is cooperative, and all players work together to solve the crime. How to Play?
"Crime Scene" is a detective game with a unique gameplay process. Besides the board, cards, and player boards, the game actively uses a separate app for gadgets. It will guide you through the plot and interact with QR codes. Scanning locations moves you through the city, and contacting character cards begins a dialogue where you can interrogate a witness about other people or found evidence. Another feature of the app is the ability to search for clues in an alternative reality mode. This can be done with special glasses (not included in the game) or through a panoramic view – for a limited time, your phone's screen changes your surroundings and transports you to the crime scene. If the investigation has hit a dead end, you can seek help from colleague Charlotte, who leads the "Riddles and Mysteries" column in your newspaper. She always has hints for the mystery you are trying to solve.Note that the investigation is limited by a specific amount of game time, which is spent during interactions with character cards and location boards. Who Won?
When you have gathered enough information and managed to uncover the truth, you can solve the case. Since you are a journalist and cannot arrest suspects, you will write an article about your findings that will help the police and also boost the newspaper's sales. You will need to answer several questions about the composition of the crime. The success of your team is determined by the conclusions of your investigation. If you are dissatisfied with the result or believe you may have missed something, you can always play the scenario again.Do not believe in coincidences, be vigilant and attentive to details, for there is always only one truth in an investigation!Attention! This is a standalone game! The base version of "Crime Scene" is not required. Game Duration: 60 to 90 minutesNumber of Players: 1 to 4
