In the longest night, the sky burns with thousands of colorful lights, and from west to east, air ghost-beasts run. And one day — if you are brave enough — you ask for blessings from Midnight and run with them... to catch your beast and your fate by the tail. Thus, Kessa became a twin-souled. Only one trouble: the fate she caught did not please her at all. And the true pair, meant for her by Midnight, did not either. For six years now, she has been trying to choose a different path for herself. Having settled in a city called Ogits, she studies at evening school, works as an apprentice to an artifact maker, and dreams of one day opening her own shop.
