Humanity has lived on earth for a very long time. Years, decades, centuries, whole millennia of our history have already remained in the past. And with them, the people who once populated those ancient eras and — astonishingly! — considered them modernity. These people could only vaguely guess what their world would be like in the distant future — in our days. But the centuries gone by have not disappeared without a trace: the past is always here, it lives in us, all of us and everything around us are its heirs and descendants.
The past securely keeps its secrets and, as we all know, reveals them to far from everyone who asserts that history has no secrets from them. The famous writer Kir Bulychev — a man who believed in the future, the creator of captivating books about Alice Selezneva — was a magnificent connoisseur of the past. For under this pseudonym was none other than Igor Vsevolodovich Mojeiko — a true great scholar of the East, who dedicated his entire life to the professional study of history.
We have already explored "Secrets of the Ancient World" and "Secrets of the Antique World", "Secrets of the Middle Ages" and "Secrets of Modern Times". And now we are in for a new exciting journey: this time into the past of our country.
