Italian writer Bianca Pitzorno (b. 1942) is today one of the most popular children's authors in the world. In Russia, she is mainly known for her books "Listen to My Heart" and "The French Nanny". In her new book, Pitzorno... tells the story of herself. However, books and characters have always held almost as important a place in her life as friends and relatives, so Pitzorno's autobiography is also a tale about the best books in the world. The author shares what she values no less than the ability to write — the gift of being a reader. Pitzorno grew up in a large family of avid readers, where everything that had been read became a topic for loud Italian conversations and a reason for jokes. The book offers a chance to experience great stories, which have become part of humanity's "golden reserve," in a new or even first way, many of which are little known in Russia.
