“This Mad World: Idleness and Decline” is the second narrative expansion to the game “This Mad World”. It is a narrative campaign consisting of 6 scenarios, just like the expansion “War or Peace”. Empires change, and cultural development of society begins to play a major role in them. The influence of culture on the fates of world powers will depend on the decisions made throughout the game. What will the world be like if all countries live in abundance and idleness?

The game with the expansion follows the main rules with some peculiarities. The expansion is a unified campaign in which players will play several scenarios. At the beginning of each scenario, players open an envelope with new rules and additional cards. The storyline develops based on the outcome of the game, and at the end of each scenario, the winner and other players receive various individual rewards. This campaign features a large number of narrative forks, additional components, and 2 special boosters with new cards for the main game.
