The textbook presents the main ideas, principles, and models underlying the formation of organizational design - the optimal combination of its key characteristics (structure, communication systems, power relations, coordination of work execution, culture, strategy, etc.) for the organization, ensuring the achievement of organizational goals in a dynamically changing competitive environment. Based on an examination of modern theoretical positions and a number of examples, the strengths and weaknesses of organizational parameters are analyzed, as well as principles for proposing alternatives to their changes. It shows how the most significant characteristics of the organization are connected to the effectiveness of performing key organizational tasks. Various methods for planning and implementing organizational changes are considered and evaluated.
