The translation of the Holy Quran presented in this edition, prepared under the guidance of the Mufti of Moscow Ildar Alyautdinov, is the result of ten years of work of a group of Russian theologians who aimed to produce a high-quality semantic translation of the Scripture in a language understandable to the broad Russian-speaking audience, while preserving canonical aspects and considering modern realities. The translation by the well-known Russian scholar-theologian, Chairman of the Council of Scholars of the DUM RF Shamil Alyautdinov, was taken as the basis. During the preparation of the translation, extensive research work was carried out to study authoritative classical and modern commentaries on the Quran in Arabic. In addition, well-known translations of the Quran into Russian and other languages were taken into account. The publication is intended for a wide audience, both for followers of Islam and for anyone seeking knowledge and wishing to touch one of the most valuable sources of cultural and religious heritage of humanity.
