Fiesta

Ernest Hemingway (1899–1961) is a famous American writer, winner of the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes, author of such books as “Fiesta”, “A Farewell to Arms!”, “The Old Man and the Sea” and many, many others. Hemingway's special charm lies in the integrity where the literary style and life image, the character of the writer himself are fused together. Ernest Hemingway's first novel, Fiesta (The Sun Also Rises), brought the author widespread fame (in 1983, the New York Times reported that the novel had been in continuous print since its publication and is one of the most translated American novels) , based on real events. The heroes of the novel (belonging to the so-called “lost generation”), returning from the First World War, strive to get away from painful memories and forget themselves in the easy life of Paris. They experience a constant thirst for new experiences and a hunger for heartfelt human communication.
