She wants whoever finds her writings to know what has happened behind these walls: torture, sacrifices, and cruel ceremonies presented as a path to salvation. All this is guided by the sister superior, above whom in the hierarchy is only "He," a mysterious figure who governs everything from the shadows. The novel immerses the reader in a dark reality where a dark dictatorship of a deceitful and cruel god reigns, which can only be broken by rediscovering long-forgotten feelings — compassion and trust in one's neighbors.
