This happened 15 years ago. A secret society called "CLOUD" committed several major terrorist acts worldwide – setting fire to vast forest areas and blowing up oil refineries. The motive behind the actions of the members of "CLOUD" was to... completely destabilize the situation in the world, but what specific goals they pursued remains unclear to this day. However, the consequences of their activities became evident immediately: a total ecological disaster that plunged the planet into terrible chaos for many decades to come.People had no choice but to rise in airships above the dead land and set off in search of a better life. Exploring cities for resources and battling with members of "CLOUD" became the only meaning of existence for those who had not yet given up.The strategic tabletop game "Age of Clouds" combines several game mechanics – deck building, resource management, and card engine construction. You will need to explore territories and gather resources using drones. A unique mechanic using translucent protectors will make this process more interesting: looking through them at the cards, as if peering through clouds, you need to anticipate where more useful resources might be and where you can perform additional actions. Using the gathered resources, you will be able to hire crew members and upgrade your airship, creating various improvements for it.The campaign mode will help you quickly learn the gameplay and study the basics. Your actions during the gameplay will influence the further plot, and new game elements will be added as you progress through the campaign. In addition, individual episodes of the story can be played as standalone scenarios.A game of "Age of Clouds" lasts from 6 to 8 rounds, depending on the number of players and the scenario played. Each round is divided into three phases: production, movement, and action. In the production phase, players can gather various resources, losing energy in the process. The amount of produced and consumed resources depends on the production level indicated on the player’s corresponding board. In the movement phase, players explore the game board: gather finds, mark their route, and battle clouders. Also, in this phase, additional energy can be obtained if a solar panel is installed on the airship. In the action phase, players send their drones to urban action cells. One of three actions can be performed: gather resources, build an improvement, or plant a crop.During the game, players receive and complete tasks that bring them victory points. Victory points are also awarded for played project cards, cubes in cities with corresponding tokens, and the highest level of each type of airship improvements. The game ends after the round in which one of the players places their last cube in the city. Once this occurs, players simultaneously complete all phases of the current round and proceed to scoring. The player who has earned the most points is declared the winner.
