Some time ago, Dunwich was under the tyranny of a mysterious creature, a monster. However, thanks to Dr. Armitage and his colleagues - scientists at Miskatonic University - and the knowledge they were armed with, they managed to liberate the city. But some time later, Armitage’s comrades began to disappear without a trace. This is where your adventure begins.

Familiar adventures will be surprised in a new way thanks to the scenario cards included in this add-on. And for comfortable storage of the entire campaign and quick preparation for the start of the game, separator cards and a convenient box are provided. In addition, the expansion includes new player cards that will add new colors to your game decks. By the way, this add-on contains cards for each scenario in the series, so we recommend using it with all Dunwich Legacy boxes to maximize the content of this add-on!

About the game

"Arkham Horror. The Card Game" is a cooperative Living Card Game in the setting of Lovecraft's myths, in which 1-2 investigators (and with the second set - 3-4) will be able to jointly get acquainted with the world of the occult, ancient gods and secrets, while simultaneously fighting with your inner demons from the past.

Each player takes on the role of one of the investigators and builds their own deck based on their character's abilities. The gameplay is based on interconnected scenarios that set the pace of the game and create an artistic narrative; the games in this game are incredibly atmospheric! A set of scenarios becomes a campaign. In each scenario, investigators are transported to different locations and explore them in search of clues needed to advance the investigation and uncover deeper mysteries.

During the game, the detectives face opponents and curses, try to overcome all adversities and defeat the enemies of the Myth. As the campaign progresses, each investigator gains experience, allowing the player to improve abilities and gain new abilities by adding more powerful cards to their deck.

The further and deeper you plunge into the world of the unknown, the closer you become to madness! Players must monitor the sanity of their detectives, protect them from horror and monsters along the way, but most importantly - uncover the mystery of Arkham!

How to play?

Players control the characters' actions through their investigator deck. Scenarios are combined into a campaign, offering a very interesting adventure.

Each round begins with the Myth phase. During this phase, a horror token is placed on the agenda card, and each player draws a card from the encounter deck. If there is a curse on the game card, then the skill indicated on the curse is checked, and if you fail, some negative effect is played. If there is a monster on the map, then it is assigned to the investigator and he will have to either fight it or try to slip through.

Then comes the Investigation phase, where players, in any order convenient for themselves, perform 3 actions from the available ones:

• Card draw
• Obtaining resources
• Activating an action from a previously laid out card
• Summon a monster to yourself
• Trying to dodge the monster
• Monster attack
• Attempt to collect evidence
• Moving to another location
• Playing a card from your hand for resources

After the players turn, the Monster phase begins. There are a lot of different opponents, some enemies move towards the heroes, and those that have already approached attack, automatically causing horror and wounds to the detectives.

At the end of the round, the Respite phase occurs, in which all players draw on the map and receive one resource.

Who has won?

Since the game is a team game, all players lose and win together. Players progress through the scenario and reach the end. Some of them are more favorable and can be considered a victory. Others leave detectives in difficult and dangerous situations. Specific points and consequences are directly related to a specific scenario.

LCD – Living Card Game

These games move away from the traditional Trading Card Game model and use a fixed distribution of cards in sets. LCDs have all the advantages of CCGs: they are the same dynamic, varied and developing games, but they do not require you to understand a wide variety of add-ons and rely on luck when receiving cards from boosters. You can always diversify and improve your gaming experience by purchasing add-ons that have a fixed composition of cards, that is, they do not contain boosters or random cards.
