Emergency and Urgent Care. General Questions of Resuscitation: A Study Guide

The study guide has been prepared taking into account modern achievements in medical science and practice in the organization of emergency medical care. Its main goal is to enhance the general and professional competencies necessary for paramedics in emergency medical care to perform their primary professional activity—providing emergency medical assistance in accordance with current regulatory legal acts, including based on emergency medical care standards.

Special attention is given to the issues of conducting resuscitation measures in emergency medical care conditions. The main methods for diagnosing terminal states are outlined, the technique for performing basic manipulations used in cardiopulmonary resuscitation is described, and the principles of prehospital care in emergency situations are listed. For the most important sections, test tasks for self-checking knowledge and illustrations are provided.
