Dutchman in Russia

It's always interesting to hear what foreigners think about our country. It provides a kind of perspective from the outside. And it's quite curious, as many of our customs, traditions, and habits seem strange, amusing, and sometimes incomprehensible to foreigners.... Machil Sneep is a Dutchman who moved to Russia, married a Russian girl, had children, and now has a Russian mother-in-law. He has something to compare living conditions in Russia and the Netherlands and stories to tell. Machil was brought to Russia by love. "We met at Eurovision in Düsseldorf in 2011. Alya was there as a journalist, and I was working in a Dutch company," he recounts. "Then she came to the Netherlands to study, and that's how we started dating." And in 2015, after the wedding, they decided to move to Russia.
