In the center of the retro detective story by Anton Chizh, the Petersburg detective Rodion Vanzarov is back. His friend, the brilliant criminologist Apollon Lebedev, finds himself embroiled in the battle between science and pseudoscience, and, fighting under the banners of truth, he stands against charlatans and fraudsters. The case that Vanzarov and Lebedev are working on is simple yet complicated, and only thanks to the developed detective's «psychology» are they able to get the criminal to confess.
