The Mongol Invasion of Rus. 1223-1253.

An epochal rupture that divided Russian history into before and after – the Mongol invasion of the 13th century. It marks a delineation in church and political division of Rus into East and West, in determining ideological mutual influences and... tectonic shifts in world perception. And all this is only partly, to a certain extent, which can be debated. How did Rus meet the Mongols 800 years ago? What was their superiority? How did it happen that these "alien" riders defeated almost any opponent? What could they do against impregnable fortresses? They were just nomads! And what do they even want? Where do they come from and why? But there was a battle, and then the devastation of Russian cities. And a new world came. The book describes the Mongol invasion based on all available sources today. The material is presented extremely openly without the traditional ethnocultural or geopolitical flair and provides an opportunity to independently look into what happened and draw one's own conclusions.
