The State of the World

Nikolai Konstantinovich Roerich 1874–1947 - artist, educator, philosopher-mystic, writer, traveler, orientalist, archaeologist, cultural and civic activist, academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts of Russia. Together with his family members, he traveled around the world, creating genuine centers of cultural construction in many countries. The scientific research activities of the artist, conducted during long expeditions to the countries of Central Asia and the Far East, also had a wide public resonance. The collection The State of the World brings together articles and philosophical essays by Nikolai Roerich, dedicated to issues of the spiritual and moral transformation of humanity and the evolutionary process, as well as greetings to the Roerich Societies in Great Britain, Belgium, Finland, Italy, France, the USA, South Africa, and other countries. The book is supplemented by articles from contemporaries about Roerich's work, including the famous article by L. Andreev The State of Roerich.
