«The System of Things» is one of Jean Baudrillard's first works, in which he presents a powerful critique of consumer society, outlining the entire future problematic of his philosophy. He identifies the characteristic features of such a society and emphasizes the influence in which passive abundance turns into an active element of public consciousness and human relationships.
