Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most talented and mysterious figures of the Renaissance. The creator left behind a multitude of inventions, paintings, and mysteries, many of which remain unsolved to this day. Da Vinci is called a universal genius. He reached heights in almost all areas of science and art. A brilliant engineer, artist, sculptor, architect, designer, inventor, mechanic, chemist, philologist, anatomist, singer, and creator of instruments of amazing beauty and sound, a composer – he wrote many beautiful cantatas. The universality of Leonardo's genius was only appreciated when his previously unknown works were discovered – notebooks and manuscripts of about seven thousand pages, many of which were illustrated. But even now, many of the genius's secrets remain unsolved.
