The Secret of the Missing Expedition

Artyom's grandfather, geologist Viktor Korchagin, did not return from a mysterious journey to the Eastern Sayans.
 
His relatives found his diary with a hint of an amazing scientific discovery and an unambiguous warning: «It is more dangerous than I thought. Do... not search for me!»
 
The warning did not scare Artyom's parents. They went into the taiga following Korchagin: dad — to write an exciting article, mom — to find out her father's fate. Artyom enjoys his first big hike, but soon realizes that the guides hired by his father are clearly hiding something.
 
Artyom must figure out the true motives of the stern Fyodor Kuzmich, the silent giant Jambyl, and the other expedition participants, as not only his grandfather's discovery but also the lives of his loved ones are at stake.
