Artem's grandfather, geologist Viktor Korchagin, did not return from a mysterious journey in the Eastern Sayan mountains.

His relatives found his diary with a hint of an amazing scientific discovery and an unambiguous warning: «It is more dangerous than I thought. Do not look for me!»

The warning did not scare Artem's parents. They went into the taiga following Korchagin: father - to write an exciting article, mother - to learn her father's fate. Artem himself is enjoying his first big hike, but soon realizes that the guides hired by his father are clearly hiding something.
