Peter Pan = Питер Пэн

The literary fairy tale is a very personal genre. It acquired intimate features in the middle of the last century and the beginning of the previous one. At first, they told stories to acquaintances or their own children and only... later published them. This also happened with Peter Pan. The closest relationship was formed by James Matthew Barrie with the Davies family. He was in love with Mrs. Davies all his life, disliked her husband, and adored the children. The Davies had five children, all boys, and Peter Pan emerged as their collective portrait. Mr. and Mrs. Davies died very early; Barrie adopted their children, and they truly became his family. So the stories about Peter Pan are, in a literal sense, family tales.
