Practical Colposcopy

The book presents the fundamentals of colposcopy - a method for the early diagnosis of precancerous conditions and cancer, as well as benign diseases of the lower genital tract. It reflects the criteria for assessing the epithelium, modern approaches to... interpreting colposcopic images, and reviews the main classifications of diseases of the cervix, vagina, and vulva from the perspective of a colposcopist, morphologist, and clinician. It presents the international terminology used in recent years (in Russian and English). It addresses issues of standardizing diagnostic and treatment approaches in accordance with international practice, basic methodologies for managing women with various pathologies, and treatment technologies. An analysis of common errors in managing patients is conducted. A glossary of key terms and a sample protocol for colposcopic examination are provided.
