Movies and Something Else. Unknown Stories About Famous Films

Hello! This is Shia. There should be a beautiful text about my new book here, but instead, I decided to answer the questions that you probably have.

1. What is this book about?
This is a book about movies, that's what it... is. I wrote it because I love cinema, because it has meant a lot to me since childhood. And it will probably be an important part of my life until the very end. Or until they stop making new installments of "Fast & Furious". I'm curious which will happen first?

2. How should I read this book?
Very easily. It has thirty chapters, each one addressing some question about movies that needs an answer. Sometimes these are very silly questions, and sometimes quite serious. But I answer them (hopefully) with great attention and respect. Read it however you like. You don't need, for example, to read chapter 13 (about blockbusters) to understand the meaning of chapter 14 (about the movie "Selena"). Oh, and also: the book has quite a few illustrations. I like illustrations because they give completeness to everything and help transport the reader into the environment I was in when I wrote this. For instance, there is a chapter written in the form of a press conference conducted by Mike Myers—the star of the "Halloween" franchise. Silly, of course, but there is an illustration of Mike at the podium in front of a crowd of journalists, and when you look at it, you get transported into that setting, and it starts to feel like it's not a fictional situation, but a real case.

3. Did you follow any rules when writing this book?
Probably the only kind of rule I followed is not to spend too much time and energy discussing movies released before the 1980s. I simply focused on the films I like. Some of them are from the 1980s, and all the others were made in the 1990s, 2000s, or even 2010s.

4. Wait, I just realized: the only reason you're writing the foreword in this format is that the book itself is structured as answers to questions?
