Plague, death, disease, pain, and war - a brief list of daily affairs for any self-respecting citizen. They celebrated fortieth birthdays in such a way that it was practically a funeral. And they did indeed have funerals! A birthday without at least two or three corpses was considered absolutely dishonorable, and by the time of a citizen's forty-first birthday, no one would come by. Usually also because the aforementioned citizen did not survive to see their forty-first birthday. Doctor, this is for you!

"Suffering Middle Ages" - a tabletop game from the creators of the same-named public group on the social network "VKontakte". And surely their parents told them, "Stop sitting in your internet, you won't achieve anything that way". Aha, did you eat that? Successful people, and a successful game, it raised almost ten million on Boomstarter. For the game, 50 of the funniest characters were selected from a thousand samples of medieval art. And the sounds of the lute, and the crunch of moldy crust. So, you are the lord of the crappiest village, but by medieval standards, it is a wonderful town. Like any self-respecting ruler, you want the best for your subjects - health, prosperity, and more showy executions by hanging. However, the laws of the time are not on your side - you face endless crusades, cholera, leprosy, and the esteemed Holy Inquisition, which killed almost all the women in the village. If death is inevitable, you must die first.

The rules are as simple as catching the bubonic plague after hugging rats. From two boards, you create your unique town with a positive name - "Sorrow-on-the-Rhine", for example. In the center of the table lies a deck, three cards of which are face up. You take one card from the deck and one face-up card. These gentlemen need to be placed in your or someone else's town. Sometimes instead of townsfolk, you will come across epidemic cards, and you need to decide whose settlement it will wipe out. Don't worry, it will reach you too! The game will end either when there are ten inhabitants in the city (outrageous overpopulation) or when the deck runs out. The one who scores the most points wins. Yes, I put on my helmet, I did! If you love memes (wait a second, who doesn't love them? to the stake with the heretic), then this game will suit you just fine. Ugly horses in profile, killer hares, and a fat baby will make the game party as crazy as possible. Buy one for yourself and gift a friend, and immediately put the cards in protectors or laminate them - the game will not rest until it claims your soul.
