Manon, the Dancer.

The central focus of this book is on two novellas: Manon, the Dancer - the first completed work of Exupéry, unfortunately not published during the author's lifetime, and The Aviator - a novella that became the writer's first publication and the starting point for the creation of his eternal works. These early works are undoubtedly extremely significant in the oeuvre of Saint-Exupéry; they fully reflect the artistic qualities, high mastery, and depth of thought that readers so appreciate in him. In addition, the collection includes previously unknown essays by the writer, unpublished chapters and fragments from the novels Southern Mail and Night Flight, as well as precisely reproduced letters and documents that provide unique testimonies of the life and history behind the creation of his immortal works. The love letters to the granddaughter of Tsar Alexander II, actress and socialite Natalie Paley, filled with poignant lyricism and revelation, will evoke great interest among readers. The texts are published for the first time in Russian.
