Alphabet Book. Combination of Traditional and Original Speech Therapy Methods

In compiling the Alphabet Book, the author used his 30 years of experience as a speech therapist, which for the first time allowed for combining literacy training with the prevention of writing errors that arise at school age. The Alphabet Book is based on a traditional approach to teaching reading in Russian, supplementing this traditional approach with an original method of teaching the child to understand letter combinations as a whole graphic element - a syllable as a unit of reading (and subsequently writing). The Alphabet Book does not have an entertaining or engaging character; its task is to provide the child with the quickest acquisition of reading skills, which should bring joy and pleasure as a reward for their efforts. We hope that our children, mastering reading without particular difficulties, will take a book in their hands as a tool of culture and a source of knowledge.
