A large prosperous kingdom lived for many years, unaware of misery and sorrow. And everything would have been fine if, at one beautiful moment, crowds of terrible monsters hadn't seized part of the territory. They imposed their own rules and began to terrorize the inhabitants. The captured lands were named the Dark Lands. The monsters did not stop there and began to set up combat positions for further advancement.
To counter the monsters, the King summons representatives of the most renowned families, with a challenging, but still achievable task of liberating the lands, returning all treasures to the country, and ensuring peace and prosperity in the Kingdom. Moreover, the most successful warrior will receive a special reward and become the most celebrated warrior of the kingdom.
The game Heroes of the Dark Lands develops logical and strategic thinking, improves planning skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing situations.
Who can embark on a campaign against the monsters?
The number of lords entering combat ranges from 3 to 5, and their age starts from 8 years.
Game Play
In the preparation stage, hexagonal tiles of the field are laid out in a random order to form a game board, the shape of which depends on the number of players. Then, cards are laid out on the table, Companion cards are distributed, and a treasure chest is arranged. Players receive money and markers, and also choose Companions.
Players take turns. Each turn consists of several stages:
Acquiring a Companion. You can acquire one Companion for 5 coins. However, this opportunity can also be skipped.
Using cards. At this stage, players play one or more cards. You can capture new regions, build various fortifications, and use the power of magical cards.
Exchanging and acquiring cards. You can take one card from the deck and discard the number of cards you need. In this case, you can draw one card from the deck for every two cards discarded. Additionally, you can draw one card for each Mage you have.
Returning Companions. All Companions whose powers were used in this turn are returned to action, and their powers are ready for use on the next turn.
For each captured game field, players receive a certain amount of coins corresponding to the level of that field. The player who has collected the maximum number of coins by the end of the game becomes the winner. The game ends when all fields are captured or if, in the last turn, none of the players captured any fields or played the card "Application".
