Victor Tsoi and the Kino Group. Photographs. Memories

Natalia Vasilieva-Hall – a photographer of the Leningrad Rock Club since 1981 with membership card №13, the first editor of the underground samizdat magazine ROKSI, starting from 1973 she photographed friends among rock musicians – Aquarium, Alice, Zoo, Kino, Nautilus... Pompilius, Pop Mechanics. In 1994, she received an invitation to work for New Generation magazine. She was the first Russian photographer to receive accreditation for the Rolling Stones concert at Wembley Stadium in 1995. Here, as in my previous books, you will find neither a biography, nor a discography, nor an official history of the band. This book is my personal impressions of meeting the musicians. These are my memories, and they would be completely subjective if it weren't for the photographs, which – by definition, from the word objective – make my narrative an objective testimony of the era, through the eyes of an eyewitness and participant.
