You have before you a new edition of the famous guide published in the USSR in the 1980s, which garnered unprecedented interest from both young chess players and their coaches. The book is designed for teaching children through lessons with... a teacher or parents, and it is intended for a sufficiently long period of study, starting from the very basics. To facilitate the use of the book, this edition is divided into two volumes (1a and 1b), with significant corrections and additions made in each. The book contains 1299 position assignments. It will be extremely useful for both individual work and for classes in schools or clubs.
