Tiny Towns – a beautiful and engaging family strategy game, which was nominated for several prestigious board game awards right after its release, including the Game of the Year title. Feel like the mayor of a small town where the tiniest forest inhabitants plan to live happily ever after!

You manage a tiny town in the very heart of a small country. These are not the most welcoming lands one could dream of. There is little space and few resources – you can only grab any opportunities that arise. You will need to build your own town and make it the most prosperous in the kingdom. And be careful not to waste resources – that will only bring you more trouble!

At the beginning of the game, your town is just an empty board divided into 16 cells. You will need to fill it with resources and then use them to build a variety of buildings. And these buildings will change from game to game. Today you can build a market and an abbey, while tomorrow you might have a theater and a chapel instead – and each building earns you victory points in its own way.

On each turn, one of the players receives the chief builder's hammer and names a type of resource. All players must take a cube of the corresponding color and place it on one of the cells of their board. Your task is to collect resources into specific patterns depicted on the building cards placed in the center of the table. As soon as you manage to lay out such a pattern, you can discard all the used resources and build the chosen building – placing its figure on one of the utilized cells.

Remember that buildings have various effects. Some are beneficial to build next to each other, others should be placed in the corners of the board, while others can store unwanted resources. Use the properties of buildings wisely – for that is the only way to win!

The game ends when no player can place a resource or build a building on their board. The winner is the one who accumulates the most victory points.

It may seem simple: you take the resources you need, assemble patterns from them, and build buildings. But don’t let the simple rules deceive you – this is a real strategy game that includes excitement, tough choices, and even backstabbing. Every turn, your opponent can choose a resource that you absolutely don’t need! You will have to place it on your board, wasting precious empty cells, and possibly receiving a penalty at the end of the game – unless, of course, you figure out how to get rid of it.

The design of Tiny Towns is also appealing. Charming illustrations reminiscent of scenes from magical cartoons, over a hundred wooden houses that are so pleasant to hold in your hands – the quality of the components is truly top-notch.

Additionally, Tiny Towns can be played with almost any number of players – from two to six people. You can even set up a game solo – the author has provided a separate solo mode for that. The combination of simple rules, elegant game mechanics, and charming design makes the game engaging both for adults and for children aged 10 and up.
