Once, a respectable Austrian family, consisting of a mother, father, grandfather, two boys, and one girl, discovers a strange creature in their kitchen.
It looks like a pumpkin-cucumber, complete with a crown on its head. It speaks in broken human language.
It... considers itself the king of the lower basement, banished by its subjects. It orders everyone to love it and cherish it, as well as to take care of it and feed it with sprouted potatoes.
How the children and adults behaved in such a ridiculous, funny, and downright fantastic situation is described with sparkling humor in this book.
Despite the overall entertaining tone, the book is undoubtedly quite educational.
