Tales of Monsters and Other Fantastic Creatures

The collection includes seven stories by contemporary Korean writer Kim Tongsik. Kim Tongsik unexpectedly appeared in the world of Korean fiction and quickly became a bright star. He started his career in the online community "Scary Stories", where he published his works written in his spare time from working at a factory. Currently, Kim Tongsik is one of the most popular authors in South Korea.
The stories of Kim Tongsik are concise, witty, and unpredictable. Their plots are always dynamic and keep the reader in suspense until the very last word. Behind the magical and fantastic world of each story lies a deep meaning that exposes the vices of modern society.
The stories have been selected and adapted for learners of the Korean language by recognized experts in Korean language and literature, Korean language teachers at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the authors of well-known Korean language textbooks Chun In Sun and Irina Lvovna Kasatkina.
