The Adventures of Oliver Twist

"The Adventures of Oliver Twist", written by the greatest English writer Charles Dickens, is an eternal book. Our grandmothers and grandfathers read it, and our grandchildren will read it too. The author speaks about what has always concerned and will continue to concern humanity - social injustice and mercy, betrayal and nobility, cruelty and tenderness. Once, the story of Oliver Twist, told by Charles Dickens, shocked prosperous Englishmen. But even today, the world largely depends on how much we help those in need of our assistance. In the process of adaptation, an attempt was made to preserve, as far as possible, the style of the original. The comments at the end of each chapter provide interpretations of the most difficult to understand words and expressions, geographical names, and realities.
