A Guide to a Renamed City

The book includes selected essays by Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996) - "Less Than One," "A Guide to a Renamed City," and "Trophy." They are united by memories of childhood, of parents, of post-war Leningrad and the life that the poet left behind when he permanently left his country. These texts, written by the author in English in the 1980s and 1990s, were published in New York in the collections "Less Than One" and "On Grief and Reason." In this edition, they are presented both in the original and in translation into Russian.
