What will you do if your only home is taken away from you?
Soon after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the lives of fourteen Japanese-American teenagers are irrevocably changed. Articles in newspapers. Hostile glances. Curfew. Eviction. Sent to camps. While World War II rages outside the country, they must figure out whether they can consider themselves free citizens when their own government has thrown them behind barbed wire.
In a world that intends to hate them, the only thing they have left is to hold on to each other.
