The Unsanctified Souls

To suffer is to be alive.

Yan Wei wakes up and realizes that he is still a patient in a hospital. In just one night, he has somehow aged several decades and is now in the geriatric ward of a gigantic hospital ship drifting in a bloody-red sea full of grotesque creatures. However, human remains and sea nymphs are nothing compared to what is happening in the depths of the ship.
Doctors are nowhere to be found: they have been replaced by a line of medical robots, from which, of course, it is impossible to get a coherent answer. So Yan Wei, along with a small group of similarly suddenly aged patients, sets out to explore the uncharted levels of the ship, hoping to find hidden explanations for what is happening.
But the deeper they penetrate into the vessel—and into the very reason for their presence on it—the more secrets are revealed, and each one raises only new questions. The only thing Yan Wei is sure of is that the more he learns, the less he understands… and the less he wants to know the truth.
