Ergonomics in Environmental Design

This tutorial discusses the main concepts and basic principles concerning the consideration of "human factors", as well as methods for solving ergonomic tasks in the process of creating the surrounding environment. It analyzes and offers methodological recommendations for ergonomic design in the areas of household, leisure, education, socio-business, and medical sectors. It addresses issues of ergonomics in environmental objects for people with disabilities. For the first time, it defines ways to utilize the achievements of ergonomics in a new aspect—enhancing the architectural and artistic level of the environment while considering the peculiarities of its perception and emotional evaluation.
