Tara, the mother of all Buddhas, manifests in twenty-one forms so promptly to protect beings from all fears, eliminate vices, relieve suffering and illness, increase life force, merits, and wealth, help overcome obscured perception, and defeat enemies - the five poisons, harmful emotions of our mind.
Praise of the twenty-one Taras creates a connection between the one who performs it and the awakened activity of Tara. In Tibet, this praise was known by heart and recited by almost everyone, regardless of school and tradition.
In this book, Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche examines the Praise of the Twenty-One Taras in light of the teachings of the terma cycle of Longchen Nyingtig. Here, four levels of meaning are presented - outer, inner, secret, and absolute, explained according to Prajnaparamita, Maha-, Anu-, and Atiyoga.
Being a deep and direct instruction from the teacher, this commentary helps to see the essence of the noble Lady Tara, the eternally awakened state, as our own true nature.
