Night Studies

In his famous collection «Night Studies», about which Heine said: «The devil cannot write anything more devilish», Hoffmann included eight mystical stories that will immerse the reader in a sinister and dangerous world.

Where the fairy-tale Sandman, whom the mother scared... her reluctant-to-sleep baby Nathaniel with, suddenly shows up at his home… The black villain makes miraculous elixirs from the blood and hearts of murdered infants… In the mansion on the main street of the city, instead of a beautiful girl, lives a half-witted old woman who enchants the hero using the charms of magnetism… And in the ancient family castle, a mysterious story unfolds with a ghost and a villainous murder…
